Ministry Overview

The Société Biblique de Genève (Geneva Bible Society / Genfer Bibelgesellschaft) is a nonprofit Christian ministry founded in 1917 to make the Bible available to as many people as possible, at the lowest possible cost. From its home in Switzerland, it translates, publishes, and distributes Scripture in French and German, and supports Bible work in minority languages.

Through its bookstore network, La Maison de la Bible (Das Haus der Bibel), the Society also places Bibles and Christian resources in the hands of readers across Switzerland and France.

Mission and Vision

To make the Bible accessible to all, in faithful translations and at the lowest possible cost, so that people may know God through His Word.

Their work follows the conviction of 2 Timothy 3:16: all Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness.

How We Partner in the Kingdom

The Geneva Bible Society has granted MyBibleIQ permission to present electronic editions of four of its translations in the app, so learners can study trusted French and German Scripture alongside other versions.

In return, MyBibleIQ points our community to the Society’s printed Bibles, study editions, bookstores, and digital resources, so that reading in the app can lead to a lifetime of engagement with the Word.

The biblical text in MyBibleIQ is stored securely and shown as needed. The app does not offer downloads of the full text. Users may share individual verses.
